Who can claim?
The scheme is open to anybody who has suffered a physical injury as a result of a crime of violence and its objective is to compensate victims of violent crime.

There are a number of requirements which need to be met which include the incident being reported to the Police as soon as possible after the incident and full co-operation is expected with the Police for the Authority to look favorably at an award.
Sometimes the Authority will reduce an award based on the victims conduct both before and after the incident.
