Cycling accidents
What we do
Here at Accident Claim Centre we specialise in dealing with clients who have been injured as a result of a cycling accident that wasn’t their fault. Our specialist personal injury accident solicitors are experts at handling all types of cycling accidents and they will act for you on a no win no fee basis.
No win no fee
This means that if for any reason you don’t win your case you don’t have to pay anything and if you do win the case, you pay nothing because your solicitors costs are paid for by the other side’s insurers.
Take advice straight away
If you don’t know whether you’ve got a good claim please contact us for a free no obligation discussion where we will take your detailed instructions as to the circumstances of the accident and then advise you as we see fit. We would always forward your details to one of the specialist accident solicitor’s deal with bicycle claims whether we think you have a good claim or not because it does no harm in getting a second opinion especially if our advice is that you should not proceed.
Compensation is bigger for bicycle injuries!
Bicycle accidents generally appear less serious than motorcar accidents but invariably motorcyclists come off worse and suffer greater injuries.
It is also true that cyclists are more likely to be killed or very seriously injured than occupants of cars, and, unfortunately it is a well known fact that a large majority of injured cyclists fail to report their accidents and submit a claim when they are entitled to do so.
Call us Now
If you’ve been involved in a cycling accident then please contact us for an informal no obligation discussion where we’ll be in a position to advise you further as to whether there is merit in your claim and if so we can point you in the right directions in terms of obtaining the most straight forward legal advice in terms of resolving any arguments on liability.
What the law says
The Highway Code is of major importance in the accident solicitor’s armour in dealing with cyclist claims and many of the rules are designed to specifically to protect cyclists.
What to do
If you have been unfortunate enough to have been involved in a cycling accident there are some basic matters you should attend to such as:
1. A detailed record of the name of all of the other parties/persons involved in the accident and if there are any motor vehicles involved ensure you accurately record their vehicle registration numbers make, model and vehicle colour. If at all possible, obtain the other persons motor insurance details.
2. If there are any witnesses, please endeavour to obtain their full names, addresses and telephone numbers.
3. Make a note of any items of clothing or property that has been damaged or lost.
4. If your bike has been damaged it is important to obtain an estimate for repair costs or if it is too badly damaged then we need to get a valuation of what it was worth before the accident as this would be included in the claim against the responsible parties insurers.
Our specialist cycling accident and injury solicitors are focused to help you ensure firstly, that you obtain the compensation that you are entitled to, and secondly, resolve any outstanding issues of liability.
The solicitor’s job
The solicitor’s job is to maximise your compensation payout so when they are instructed part of their role will be to obtain the appropriate medical evidence which will be used in conjunction with your witness statement to negotiate settlement of your claim with the opposition.
Our cycling accident Solicitors will advise you on any offers that are made and if it is in your interest to accept an offer or indeed proceed to trial if the other persons insurers are refusing to make you any reasonable offers.
