Bus Passenger Claims
Buses don’t have safety belts!
As a passenger on a bus, the bus company is under an obligation to look after you and keep you safe at all times. If there’s an accident either through the fault of some other road user or indeed the bus driver, we’ll be able to act for you and through our expert passenger claim solicitors obtain compensation for you for your injuries and losses. Most injuries suffered by a passenger on a bus are caused by the driver’s harsh, exaggerated and unexpected breaking which causes the passenger to fall and be injured. When a bus driver brakes suddenly it is reasonably foreseeable that a passenger will suffer impact injuries and as buses don’t provide seat belts there’s more of a responsibility on the driver to drive with this in mind. Consequently, if the bus crashes you, as the passenger should be successful in claiming for any injuries suffered. Even if the bus doesn’t crash but decelerates sharply and passengers are injured the bus company is still liable for their passenger’s injuries if the driver is considered negligent. This isn’t always so simple to work out, especially if the driver claims to have been carrying out an emergency stop. If that’s the case our specialist passenger solicitors will look to see if there was any other motorist involved who should be held responsible and will submit a claim against their insurers or the Motor Insurers Bureau if the other motorist was untraced.
Car Passengers
Car passengers always succeed
If you’re involved in an accident as a car passenger it is very unlikely that you’ve had any effect on the cause or circumstances of the accident and as such you’re an innocent victim. That means you should be able to obtain compensation from either the driver of your vehicle, if they were to blame for the accident, or any other party who was involved and may have contributed or caused the accident.
Only 1% fault against any driver is enough to get maximum compensation
You only need to show a small amount of negligence against any of the parties (even 1%) to be able to claim damages against that party. In other words, if for example, the driver of your car has an accident with another motorist, for example on a roundabout, and it’s unclear as to which of the drivers is responsible, and perhaps they are both responsible to some degree, you only need to pursue the claim against one driver to be able to receive all your damages. This can save you from the embarrassment of pursuing the driver of your own vehicle particularly if this is a family member or friend.

Taxi Passenger Claims
As a passenger in a taxi or private hire vehicle, it is licensed to carry passengers, should you be involved in an accident you will be entitled to claim compensation either from the driver of your taxi or another party depending on the circumstances involved. It is important that you try to take as much detail as possible of all parties involved but nevertheless as long as you make contact with us at the outset, we’ll assist you in collating all the appropriate detail that’s necessary so that your claim can be submitted by an expert accident Solicitor to deal with the other parties insurance company.
Tram or Train Passenger
The passengers on a train or tram are entitled to claim compensation for any injuries suffered as a result of any collision that the train/tram may have or indeed any derailment. In the case of a train/tram collision it’s generally not difficult for our specialist passenger accident solicitors to establish liability either against the tram/train company (because of its drivers negligence) or any other relevant party. The difficulty comes when the passenger is injured because the train/tram performs an unexpected and unusual maneuver such as overshooting the railway platform or, reversing in an unexpected and excessive manner, which causes a passengers injury. Here at Accident Claim Centre we have an experienced panel of specialist train/tram accident solicitors who will be able to ensure that your claim will be brought to a swift and fruitful conclusion after resolving any liability issues.
Pillion Passenger on a Motorbike
As a pillion passenger suffering an injury as a consequence of a road accident that is caused by the motorcycle rider or another party, it matters not as to the circumstances as you will be entitled to claim compensation and damages from any of the responsible parties insurers.
